We turn lived experience into organized action.
Founded in 2022 by renowned jailhouse lawyers Askari Lumumba and Hassan Shabazz, PRC brings decades of legal knowledge and firsthand experience to the struggle for freedom, safety, and meaningful reform.
We educate, advocate, document injustice, challenge harmful practices, and equip incarcerated people and their families with information to protect their rights.

Behind the Bars
Incarceration must never become a barrier to early detection, informed care, or lifesaving treatment.
This initiative raises awareness about prostate cancer among incarcerated men and their families while advocating for appropriate screening, timely diagnosis, access to specialists, continuity of treatment, and medical accountability inside correctional facilities.
